Topic title: Research and development of bioactive interface of artificial joint prosthesis with osteoporosis microenvironment regulation function

Abstract:

The "osteogenic and osteoclastic microenvironment imbalance" makes it difficult to effectively integrate the joint prosthesis with the medullary cavity, which is the key factor leading to the high incidence of complications such as prosthesis loosening and peripheral fracture in patients with osteoporosis (OP). The preparation of bisphosphonate coated implants that can clearly regulate the unbalanced microenvironment of OP is an effective strategy to solve the above problems. By combining the design of metal micropore structure with functional nanobiomaterials, a specific "functional bionic prosthesis interface" suitable for OP microenvironment was constructed. The relationship between micropore structure parameters and biological material degradation, bisphosphonate drug release, as well as the effects on stem cell differentiation and autophagy behavior were analyzed. The synergistic mode and related mechanism of promoting interfacial bone integration and microenvironment improvement were discussed. This research fundamentally solved the key problem of the high incidence of postoperative complications faced by patients with joint replacement in pathological environment.
