Associate Professor of the State Key Laboratory of Tribology for Advanced Equipment, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Tsinghua University, and member of the interdisciplinary innovation and talent introduction base of the National 111 Program "Biological Manufacturing and In Vitro Life System Engineering". Research work focus on the interfaces and interactions between materials and organisms, focusing on fluid drag reduction and stem cell regeneration medicine.

Topic title: Bio mimetic surface microstructure for air drag reduction applications


Moving objects, like bird, athletes, air planes, ships etc. all have to spend energy to counteract resistance. The energy efficiency of animals is much better than that of machines, which makes them great teachers in drag reduction technology. This presentation will focus on drag reduction mechanism, bio mimetic structures, manufacture technology and application instances.
