Bionic Design of High-Performance Anti-Reflective Surfaces
Light is a carrier of both information and energy. Nevertheless, excessive light reflection at material interfaces frequently triggers optical interference and energy dissipation, which severely restricts the practical application performance of optical devices. At present, anti-reflection (AR) technology has attracted extensive research attention from universities and scientific research institutions worldwide. However, existing studies generally lack systematic theoretical guidance for the optimization of optical regulation performance, which has become a core bottleneck restricting the further performance improvement and engineering promotion of AR devices. Therefore, exploring innovative design strategies to develop high-performance AR functional materials and technologies is of great research significance. Over long-term natural evolution, typical creatures including butterflies and cicadas possess exquisite inherent anti-reflection properties, enabling them to achieve efficient light transmission and light regulation in natural scenarios. Drawing inspiration from these remarkable natural structural strategies, this study conducts an in-depth investigation into high light transmittance, light harvesting, and reversible anti-reflection technologies. The innovative bionic design and optimization methods for AR functional structures explored in this research can be widely applied in multiple fields, including light harvesting, anti-glare displays, and intelligent light modulation, laying a solid foundation for the development of high-efficiency optical functional devices.
