Femtosecond projection two-photon printing technology for biomanufacturing
This talk present a femtosecond projection two-photon polymerization platform that suppresses localized thermal damage via a low-exothermic Type II photoinitiating system, enabling sub-micrometer-resolution hydrogel fabrication with 3–4 orders of magnitude higher throughput than point-scanning methods. Integrated with extrusion printing, this approach bridges micro-precision and macro-scale tissue engineering for multiscale biomedical applications.
Li Jiebo earned his B.S. and M.S. from Peking University and his Ph.D. from Rice University. He is currently a tenured Associate Professor and Principal Investigator in the School of Biological Science and Medical Engineering at Beihang University. His research focuses on light–matter interactions at ultrafast timescales and their biomedical applications. He has published a series of research papers in journals including Int. J. Extrem. Manuf. (2)、Nat. Commun.(3)、Addit. Manuf., among others. He has been honored as a Xiaomi Young Scholar(2023) and received the Materials Scientist Award(2026).
